OZL is installing solar and wind generation plus batteries at Carrapeteena and Prominent Hill.
Both are modest pilot plants, with government assistance. The major transmission line upgrade for PH and the construction of a line to C will still go ahead.
The cost of renewables keeps falling. Perhaps one day the economics of remote solar farm at C and PH could turn the transmission lines to work in reverse. The land is abundant, cheap and bathed in sunshine.

Climate change deniers need not worry. OZL will only act when and if the economics of renewables are compelling.
