I am in this one because I feel they are an exciting play on two counts...
PHOSPHATE - they may not be a MAK, but the are close by that area...they may or may not have an equivalent resource, but any quality tonnage at say US$400 less operating costs to the wharf of say US$100 per tonne (I think those are the rough numbers that MAK believe will fly), is very attractive. The if would be that they get more and a quality quotient greater than might reasonably be expected...great up side and a run to be had there for the patient.
BASE METALS - there will be great demand for Zinc over the long haul, short term Lead is going back wards...these are known to be there. This is being drilled right now...and I expect it may be spectacular. The way to make money out of Zinc is to hit grade...then add in some serious volume of rock and you have a nice position - mine your self or JV it...good options. But think for a moment there is a lot of Copper in that area...what if they hit that, we have a bingo! I can't wait for the results of this drilling - 2 months away I believe, but we should hear about the first hole soon. The expression of the outcrop is there for all to see in the Presentation of May 08.
Then there's Uranium...the price is picking up again...has been pushed around a bit...they are in NT so they could mine.
This is a 3 bag trick for me...and I feel exciting. I'm going to hang in to just see what happens. If I'm right I shall enter rather heavily. They have great territory and a strong NT relationship with the Geological Survey up there...they have plenty of territory to explore - great greenfileds stuff, I like it!
