Their core offering is non-NBN fixed wireless - it competes directly with all NBN offerings. That they have decided to dabble in reselling NBN is a divergence from their main strengths but will probably do good things for cash flow.
My business has been a Uniti customer for years, with a plan that the NBN just cannot compete with in terms of speed and reliability. FTTC is now available at our location and it offers lower speeds than we've had for the past 4 years with Uniti.
The most attractive part of Uniti's business model was that they weren't just another NBN reseller. They had a huge point of distinction from all the others, but that offering was necessarily limited by geography.
I'm kicking myself for not taking up an early fundraising opportunity - pre IPO. Oh well.
