A trade war leading to a recession or significantly sub-par world growth and ineffective monetary supply, as a response due to interest rates already being low, to fix it like last time is the most obvious candidate. We see a crossing of the long bond versus short bond rate a couple of times this year already. We also see the gold price rocketing up. I would say these indicators are part of the reason the Cu price is where it as at the moment.
