Monday June 24 - Twilight Saga

SPI Futures traded in a 43 point range Friday night, with a high of 6611, low of 6568, and a close on Saturday morning of 6571, down 17 points, on low volume of 9,427 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels for today are below. Gaps from Friday night up at 6576, 6600, 6604, 6608, then 6621, 6632 and 6633. On the dowside, 6561, 6555, 6547, 6546, 6541, 6537, 6526 and 6523. Friday was quadruple-witching expiration day for US markets - DOW up .21 pct, SNP down .02 pct and Canada (resource driven), down more at .22 pct. VIX down 1.30 pct to 15.15. Tariff concerns/hopes (China made it easier for countries competing with the US to do business in China) being dwarfed by tensions in the Middle East, so Oil up 10 pct for the week and last trading week before financial year end for us - stay nimble. Today in 2010, "The Twilight Saga:Eclipse" based on the book by Stephenie Meyer, directed by David Slade, and starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson premiered in Los Angeles. It held the record for the biggest midnight opening in the United States and Canada in box office history, grossing an estimated $30 million, until surpassed by Harry Potter.  This saga with Iran is looking a bit like a Twilight moment. Tankers on fire, 220 million USD Drone plane destroyed, International airspace, Iranian airspace, Retaliatory strike orders given then cancelled, planes in the air, then not in the air, cyber attacks, you name it -  just add the scary music. I hope they sort it out peacefully, but I'm not holding my breath. Trump needs to look Presidential in his Twilight.. What a saga.
