The only strategy one would hope is (in the absence of complete lack of due diligence done by management prior to entering into this - which if we hold faith, we assume they have done, not implying they haven't) they plan to pickup the tenements by having security over the loan. Hence 1.5m buys them the tenements essentially....

Although transitioning to a gold producer is certainly not on my plans/intentions in investing in this company.
