They may not earn any 'significant' revenue for some time, but it depends on how the technology is commercialised. For example, SLX gained a commercial partner well before their technology has earnt a cent and look at how their share price has moved. It does not matter if Matmor does not make any revenue for 3 years, however, if it has the potential to make a large amount of money then the share price will move.
