This company's big problem is that they always play everything so close to their chest (Fred Bart being a poker player and all), so as holders we are always faced with the resulting problem of whether to believe them or not. The fact that they have got this far (and this far is a LONG way) is indicative that they are extremely likely to be "almost there" as they have said repeatedly. Its human nature to want proof before belief, but you can't always get proof. So your choice is always to stay put or get out on every rumour, paranoia, or hard to interpret announcement.
Fact: we have been told several times that they were playing tones. Is that true or not? Fact: we have been told that it plays music. Is that true or not? Fact: we have been told that the modifications were successful in their intent, and produced pixels that all showed perfect responses. Is that true or not? Fact: It was the tester that faulted, not the wafer that was faulty. On the contrary. The wafer was good, but they broke it and could not finish the test. Is that true or not? Fact: we know they were to receive an iterative series of variant wafers every couple of weeks or so. Have they been getting them? We have not been updated, so after all the silence we are always inclined to suspect the worst.
Have they been lying all this time?
Fact: The fault is with the company not keeping us as up to date with developments as they could. Is that true or not? I think that is true. But I am now of the opinion that that is not going to change just because I want it to.
