There is obviously huge fundamentals behind the US situation, but..

We are resource rich, China and India are still buying, their growth and GDP proportion is growing, just be selective with your resource plays and have stop losses set.

As always, people need to eat (WOW after shorting is done) in a recession and when an economy and currency like the US is dying, then people will turn to gold.
