That is my view as well. There seems to be some obsession to keep searching (among the millions of possibilities) to find "The One" before proceeding to clinical work.
It reminds me of the old story about the gunner who was constantly polishing the gun, checking the sights, checking the magazine was full, aiming, aiming, re-checking the mechanism...but never actually pulling the trigger.
Investors get Jack of that if it happens too often. They want results and they'll take their $$$ elsewhere. Someplace that gets results and translates them into clinical work.
