(edit: this is in reply to someone who was asking why Visa is attacking Afterpay when APT is helping to grow Visa volumes)
Those who are in charge of running Visa have the same obligation as the guys in charge of Afterpay: to make as much profit as they can for their shareholders. Visa probably sees growing demand for instalment payments and sees a way to earn more revenue by offering a service that caters to that demand. I doubt they are doing this just to attack any individual company.
