On Saturday, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde commented on the latest trade war development.“While the resumption of trade talks between the United States and China is welcome, tariffs already implemented are holding back the global economy, and unresolved issues carry a great deal of uncertainty about the future,” she said.

So it ain't over by any shot of the imagination. They will continue to talk but like any truce it will only last as long as both parties think there is progress being made. All the tariffs remain in place, they have just decided to start talking again, long way to go yet.

Little shot in the arm for the markets but how long will it last.

And no not down ramping, just being a realist.
