On this point, if you carefully listen to the Lynas 2025 webcast, they do once mention a degree of SX in Australia along with cracking and leaching. I suspect this may be one of the full SX ex. Malaysia contingency plans they are working through. I also get the impression from their tone that if they start afresh they can dramatically reduce the number and complexity of SX stages for NdPr sep. This is certainly true for the rotary kilns in C&L, where they will likely go from 2 small to 1 larger kiln IMO. I strongly recommend anyone with an interest in LYC to watch the Lynas 2025 video in full as much can be gleaned from what is said, and what is not said.
