The SK-II site on tmall and taobao are the exact same thing. It is the same website and the same webpage with the same comments, pics, etc. (different urls, same product code). Go to https://skii.tmall.com on the desktop, you will stay on that site when you click to visit the pen. Open on a mobile device and you are redirected to https://m.intl.taobao.com. But its the same Official SK-II store.

The 20,000 number is not a lie, but is rather pushing the truth to an extreme. That number would have been after a full month of pre-launch orders that were all fulfilled on the same day of launch. Basically taking the full first months sale of a brand new product at a sale price and compressing it into a single day. This happens all the time with these products.
