What a bizzare line of thinking Whippet...

So if you had secured one of the biggest reserves of Oil in Aus then you are not really going to be highly profitable because other companies can also drill for oil elsewhere - wtf dude! Did you say the same thing about the first company do do a major off-shore oil rig!?!?

If GDY succeeds as planned they will be massively profitable for an extememly long time. They have secured the hottest hotrock tenaments. Their site is also loaded with water (important). They are the industry leader. They are far more advanced. They have the specialist drill rigs and experience. They have the finances. They will have huge gov backing too.

Sure if successful then other companies will try too but they will be well behind GDY and always playing catch-up (and will likely not have the super hot rocks - which makes a big difference, or the huge insitu water supply). They may well make money too - but your belief that that somehow means GDY wont is bizzare IMO. Clearly a downramper IMO (or not too bright is only other option).
