Hi Croupier,
Gen X, no.
Baby boomers, no.
Older Australians, and late boomers (ie: late 30s - mid 40s), yes.
I have seen more value, and wealth destruction caused by post-University graduates who have quickly moved into management with little or no operational experience than I care to imagine. Most of the tech windup and subsequent letdown can be attributed to such people.
The New World Order that I see is one where the principles of:
1)
governance;
2)
accountability; and
3)
responsibility,
will all come to the fore.
These, however, are not the traits of Gen-Xers, or of the 60s hippies set. Both socio-economic groupings are characterised more by:
1)
carefree attitudes and behaviour;
2)
resistance to authority;
3)
pursuit of lifestyle choice, at the expense of something else (ie: savings, etc); and
4)
greed.
