Consider the possibility that the board does not think the price is cheap. The basis of charting is the pricing in of information in the trend. This reinforces that those informed do not think it is cheap.
Also consider the possibility that when they eventually announce their strategy in August, it can go three ways in terms of perceived impact on value.....driving it
up,
nowhere or
down.
So in a month or two there is downside risk. Why would a board say there is only upside now?
Watch for the resetting of Ferrari’s incentives. This will tell us a fair bit.
