It’s really only the last few years that there has been some serious interest in Endometriosis by our Govt establishing a working party on this disease & heightened awareness for medical practitioners & this is probably why:
A very enlightening article. $10 million investment for a wet biopsy test mentioned in a previous article really seems like chicken feed in the big scheme of things.
I am very excited about PromarkerD, but I have had a great interest in this indication for a blood test to help diagnose Endometriosis early without the invasive need for surgery. Being told by Drs that being doubled over with pain once a month or more is “normal” & that you may be over reacting “but here, take some codeine or endone” is simply something that isn’t right & belongs in the dark ages, like taking a ‘Bex Powder & a good lie down’.
I guess you also have to remember that diagnosis is often not based on one single test & that clinical signs are also important. Looking forward to news on progress in PIQ’s pipeline. Have a great weekend all .
