"He is quoting the words of Paul but NOT the interpretation of his words."
Well Mr G could say he is simply quoting what Paul wrote and meant .. that is what is clearly written ?
Presumably you think Paul either had it wrong or wrote it in such a way as to give a wrong meaning when interpreted in the light of other Biblical quotes.
I'm inclined to feel that you claiming various things written were actually referring to what was in the mind of God in the beginning, is a very open ended device. Perhaps not unlike the JW claim that Jesus did in fact begin his second coming reign but in an invisible manner ... for the time being.
In any case to help Mr G (and me) see your line of reasoning, would you re-write the following passages in the way that Paul should have done in the first place.
"(Colossians 1:15) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;"
"(Colossians 1:16) because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him."
