Ian Olson said in an interview that the last thing he wanted was VC money, because they would expect him to take more money than he needed. Then he would be expected to hire more staff. Then he would need to spend a lot of his time managing the new staff and weeding out those who turned out not to be suitable. Then he would probably need to create an HR department to help manage toe new staff, and that would cost more money and take more of his time away from selling the product and developing relationships with partners and customers.

In my humble opinion, Ian Olson knows exactly what he is doing.
