interesting comments. personally, i read commentators purely to get an idea of what's happening "on the street". I then do my own research and couldn't care less what is said by experts. I don't read West that often. If you don't like it, don't read it. However, if you feel really strongly about it, put your complaint together in point form and stick to the facts and keep it friendly. Once you begin making personal attacks, his managing editor won't give a toss about what you have stay. You may even get an intelligent reply.
By using the above approach, you can quickly tell if you are on the right track. Maintain a "friendly debate" style of writing. You should expect that the reply will maintain the friendly informative nature of dialog that you have begun. If it does not, it is usually an indication that you are onto something!
