a seatbelt that can provide information to the car's computer system as to whether the passenger was wearing a seatbelt at the time of a crash. Insurance companies would like to use this information so they can refuse to pay medical bills for those not wearing a seatbelt.
Look..I'm no innovator...but even just of the top of my peanut sized head, I've come up with a few reasons for the use if Intevia. Now imagine what those in the industry can think up.
