Haven't heard any news. There is sometimes a lag between announcements like the last one and investors taking an interest. I suspect they chat with advisers/brokers and then take action. The Morgan's listing noted above has probably brought MX1 to the attention of more investors.
The volumes haven't been huge so it could just as easily be traders taking advantage of the tight registry with some solid low buys that trigger some buying from others then sell into that. Just a few cents movement provide +10% gain.
