Okay, so the non-binding conditional offer is not to proceed but they are still talking, plus talking to others.
If an offer eventuates, it eventuates - the real issue is whether this is a fundamentally strong and profitable company - judged on results AND whether the management can be trusted on their outlook.
This announcement confirms that they all but met their stated goals of $120m in liquidations...coming in at $118.5m
This was an almighty strong 2h result in terms of cash from liquidations - $51.5m in 1h and $67m in 2h.
The NPAT will be very, very close to their outlook of $20m or 31c eps.
That's a PASS from me on both counts. I am happy to hold irrespective of takeover activity.
