I was having dinner so not watching every point but the story was about concern that the future ore from the Greenbushes mine after it was put through the new under construct Kemerton facility its proposed (again the future tailings) to be sent to the nearby Dardenup tip.

So the issue is one the Dardenup residents (its a little town with a big reputation for good beef) are having over fears the future tailings may be in some way toxic.
All these small towns inc Greenbushes are quite near each other and close to Bunbury where the port is.

I mentioned before the whole area is getting pissed off about the extra trucks clogging the roads carting ore around so they might start fixing old grain rail lines to move it.

on what you were mentioning anatol if the upgrades proposed for Greenbushes are fully approved especially on the northern end I can see the town having a big dust and noise issue from the mine. I don't know if they are blasting I would guess so but also the prevailing wind which is a SW wind will blow dust straight over town. Lithium dust in high concentrations like any dust cant be good for you. And they have long made antidepressants from Lithium, will the whole town end up stoned?

Yes anatol it is concerning they have ramped up and continue to do so at such a rate.

You have to wonder are they trying to suppress prices to keep competition out of the market for as long as possible?

Or to try to pick up new ground cheaper than they would otherwise?

Maybe thats conspiracy theory from me, maybe not, the ramp up may just be targeting peak lithium as it starts to come into play in the next couple/few years.

Lots to consider but not much we can do except stay aware of what the others are up to.
