Thanks for sharing this great 30 min video explaining how China’s reform era between 1978-2012 resulted in democratic characteristics such as accountability and competition being implemented into its autocratic system.
It does a good job to explain why bureaucracy is where all the action is in China and why the SOE’s will be very eager to impress the president by ticking off their local scorecards set by the President.
