Thanks for the summary Moz. Good to see that our questions have been answered.
It now seems the issue of contaminants has been resolved and that the steel mills will pay full price. Nice to see that they are making comparisons with BHP's Area C, which I guess is a well known benchmark. I was particularly pleased to read that 20% of the detrital is lump and will attract the corresponding price. By my calculations - the lump will bring at least $125 AUD per tonne (60%Fe), and there's about 120MT of it. This equates to an additional $4.2 billion in value above the fines.
The mining issues affecting the resources on the boundaries and native title are basically non issues.
On a more disconcerting note, it's unfortunate that WR doesn't read HC very regularly because he finds it upsetting. I guess Pelm's recent public rejection of the marketing and sales manager position and his expressed desire for WR's MD position must have traumatised WR more than what anyone could have imagined.
When the CV came up, surely you must have been tempted to feign some dry retching?
