Aron Thanks for your post Yes there were plans for making the centre an inland holiday spot by letting the ocean drain in because its one of Australias lowest subsided regions (below sea level all the way down to Lake Eyre - 16m below sl) BUT JH quickly put an end to that! Maybe when all oil the money comes flooding in they can build that oasis island with the drills on islands surrounded by water and mega size casinos on some of the higher parts. LOL
