If Im reading this right, the R&D return is already factored in to the figures - is not additional - ie netted off against future expected costs which is why you see a 'positive income figure in brackets against R&D off $597k - so assuming the return is received, for next quarter you are looking at $1.67m - $176k costs as the cash position.
Or otherwise, if not received, you need to add back in another $1.5m of costs, which leaves you.......
