Hi Sally, Phase 2 Clinical Trials are over for OA...Phase 3 will hopefully start some time next year but there may be a pathway for your father in law under the SAS scheme....I am no authority on the matter but I do remember Happell posting the following message on here with an email of the CSO, you can give it a try :

I have used iPPS through the special access scheme and the results have been spectacular. While I understand the frustrations of immobility I would recomend the treatment before any consideration of surgery. To this end you may be able to get more information by emailing Ravi Krishnan at [email protected] to find out who to see in SA who has knowledge of the benefits of the iPPS treatment.
