Anyway, not the announcement we were all expecting, but I think we all had assumed "continuous run" meant continuous all the way through to lithium carbonate production. In reality, the process seems to be more modular than that, and it was only a continuous run to the production of lithium sulphate. This makes sense, as they're stockpiling most of that to demonstrate LOH-Max potential later in the year.

There seems to be a strong focus on assessing the plant materials and controls, which will be providing intelligence for the P1 design, which is great. Despite causing a delay at the beginning, the filters have performed strongly for both the SOP recovery and the leach slurry. There's a mention of potential capital cost savings as a result, which is nice but I doubt they're huge.

The "opportunities for plant optimisation" which have been identified could mean improvements in the pilot plant or in P1, or both. We'll have to see.

Anyway, lithium carbonate and SOP production this week, with assay results due mid-August. Hopefully we get an announcement when the lithium carbonate production starts.
