I'm suspecting that the phrase that carried the most impact in this announcement was:
"........... commencing Phase 2 clinical trials in the second half of 2020."
There was an interesting article yesterday about Jeff Bezos continually taking the long term view with Amazon rather than submitting to the short term focus of the US stock market. His original quote on this point was made 22 years ago.
Unfortunately, when the vast majority of potential (biotech) investors see a time frame of 12-18 months, they simply look elsewhere.
