I think there is a real shortage but not because it is running out rather because demand is rapidly increasing. The millions of new cars coming onto the roads in India and China must have an effect.
What amuses me is all the talk of reducing the so called greenhouse gas CO2 yet the world's consumption of both oil and coal is rapidly increasing. I am glad I don't believe CO2 causes climate change or else I would be very worried.
