It’s a Aussie/ English meaning of it needs to be done! Get a move on, get some runs on the score board. Stop standing at the cricket crease and blocking all the bowlers balls. In cricket the object is to score runs against the other team.
In life the object financially is score dollars. Australian males whom follow sport understand the term.

Get on with the job, get it happening, has been hogging the crease not scoring any runs in the game of cricket.

You buy tickets to a English/ Australian test cricket match and you spend all day at the MCG where one batsman stands at the crease and doesn’t score any runs.
