"itll never make one rich...too hard"

That thinking is exactly why many people don't make it in trading Spec (or to the top in any field for that matter). In FX to be in the top 5% who make money you need to work hard, harder than the other 95% who don't make it - thats no different to any other field of endeavour. Nobody gets to the top in their field without hard work. Even someone naturally gifted in his field like Usain Bolt had to work hard to win.
