RNRC think there is a distinct possibly of 124 coming into play as per your thoughts. It most likely is a result of the Trump tweet with respect to trade war issues. It is interesting to note the coincidence of market toppyness and trump tweets.(good shorting opportunity for those in the know). Whilst these tweets appear to be somewhat egotistical bluster combined with his personal style of negotiating strategy it certainly puts markets, into "risk off" mode. Probably the other side of this new round of tariffs is the impact on the fed. Powell (fed chair) unfortunately will now have no choice but to maintain or lower rates as long as Trump persists. Trumps window of opportunity is closing with elections on the horizon so he will need to create of a perception of being a winner and benefactor to the American voters. Likewise he needs to appease the mid west soya been farmers who help put him in office. Cheap money is what Macquarie thrives on with respect to its business model. Notwithstanding a black swan event I think the current possible pullback will be relatively short lived with the next lot of rhetoric being how well the negotiations are going. IF I had to make a decision based on my present state of knowledge I would consider the pullback a buying opportunity as opposed to a shorting one . Any thoughts from a technical perspective?
