He said in his manifesto that he was a Trump supporter, but that his views were from before 2016. Unless we have evidence that this is false we really have no reason to doubt this.
We are not going to get far stopping people like him from killing more people unless we understand what is driving them. Calling them Nazis or RWNJ is not going to stop a single person killing anymore than calling a murderous Islamist a terrorist will stop them killing either.
