LTR was and is benefited from the Wesfarmers evaluation of Kidman. Obviously LTR did themselves a lot of favors by drilling a major resource as well.

Talks are that Lynas will be allowed to continue to refine their ore in Malaysia and thus dump the waste there. What does this mean for Pensana? Well, while its purely speculative the last line stood out to me here:

'One of Lynas Corp's fiercest critics in Malaysia has confirmed the country's government will drop a requirement for the rare earths miner to export its radioactive waste from the country. The confirmation, from Malaysian environment minister Yeo Bee Yin, all but secures Lynas licence to operate in the country beyond September 2 and could reignite a $1.5 billion bid for the business from Perth based conglomerate Wesfarmers.'

If i recall correctly Lynas was valued at around $1.80 or $1.90 when they received an offer of $2.25 per share. Don't be fooled by the wording in the above article as Lynas is currently valued over $1.8b.

Despite Pensana not being based in Australia, IF a revised bid comes in from Wesfarmers for Lynas it will put another spotlight on the sector and IMO boost the entire sector. Low capex easy to mine projects will stand out even further.

Now yes, Lynas mines and refines rare earths and Pensana plans only to mine rare earths, but I still believe a revised offer ($2b+) for Wesfarmers to Lynas will be very good for Pensana.

In the box seat here the next few months.

Don't be fooled by those wanting your shares cheap.
