What's murdering the sector right now is this.
Carbonate and hydroxide prices continuing to slide lower. Irrespective of what some folks claim, SC6 prices are strongly linked to these. No way A40, GXY will be able to sell for their historically high contract prices (at least GXY has brought their costs down significantly). AJM needs to be profitable at its floor prices of US$550/t. It should be able to when the DFS assumed price was lower than that. I'm sure JB and co know they need to get costs to rock bottom and wait until the demand side catches up. I'm optimistic in light of the recent impressive turn around from the JRO fiasco to currently having a diversified offtake mix of 4 entities with SS sitting in the wings. You have SS putting in tens of millions and a director over ten million...its hard to see these entities throwing such money around without some project confidence.
