Hi Joseph,
Agree we need to have our own oil reserves of about 90 days. We have enough oil going overseas from NWS, etc to just buy this instead of depending on US. The US will be after there pound of flesh for any benefit they give us. It is about time that we ask blokes like Hugh White to provide real strategic independent advice for our sovereign nation. We don’t have to follow others and make Australia great. We just need to consider what are the strategic goals of a middle power in the Southern Pacific Ocean. Having 90 days of oil enables us to be independent to deal with any interruption to oil supply, as our economy and people’s income depend upon it.
