with respect i don't think that assessment concerning china vs u.s. could be further off the mark. u.s farmers might have a different opinion when they wake up tomorrow.

for trump to think (using that word in the loosest possible sense) that he has the remotest chance of changing china's course is like beating shi over the head with a wet corn flake. .

doomsayers and "think tanks" have been predicting that china will falter for two decades. wishful thinking. they should perhaps consider the internal malaise that besets the US right now.

one day soon the world will wake up to the realization that WW3 has already been fought and won without a shot being fired..
