That reminds me of something I dug up on the KCN website over the weekend on the "Expansion and Exploration" tab.
In the section in relation to the lease granting can be found the following:
"The Director General of the Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM), Mr Anusorn Nuangpolmak, stated in the Thai press that “Akara Mining Limited’s request for 9 mining leases …will obtain their permission soon” (Thairath news, 1 June..."
That got me really excited, until I looked further and realised it said "(Thairath news, 1 June 2007)"!!!!!!
I know this was the previous govt and all, but it is an indication of the Thai definition of soon.
