Some years ago the same was true of BPC shareholders when the price fell from 6 cents to 3 cents having been some dollars a share beforehand.
However within very little time the writedowns were mostly written back ( expect the writedowns and costs to come with this cnp report amidst much press teeth gnashng ) and BPC returned to > $1.00 a share. This highlighted the fact that most losses were not real and were merely book entries in the end.
The percentage changes are very similar and with BPC institutions sold out two engendering losses for people they were supposed to be helping. Once BPC's future was a sure thing they came back on board - but only to a point.
Seems to be little "corporate memory" with the fund managers. Those that bought bpc at 6 cents only turned 10g into 166g let alone those that paid 3 cents and turned 10g into 333g.....
