Why is dole being paid in any town that has work available? "....so as to maintain their dole benefits." Hang on isn't it impossible to live on the dole we are told?
There are businesses all over regional Australia crying out for workers. All over Australia we have young people doing nothing, some on Newstart, many roped in into the drug culture especially cheap meth, while we merrily import foreigners to take low skill jobs. Many young lives being wasted through unemployment, there is much that could be done, but boosting Newstart is not part of the solution.
