All tech will get progressively better Coln,
The new Tesla 3 has been touted as the most significant car in 50 years.
Batteries will evolve, just recently Jeff Dahns, the pioneer of lithium battery cells together with Tesla,think they have solved the problem that comes with replacing the conventional ghraphite anode, with lithium metal without having to use solid state electrolytes.
If succesful, it would result in the commercialization of more energy dense and long lasting cells on a much quicker timeline than what is believed achievable with solid state batteries.
Things will change, just this morning Samsung were using a 30 minute recharge for their new phone as a selling point, spending that time to recharge your whole car doesn't seem that bad to me.
Who knows where this will end up, but for now as with all new tech it's pricey, but as has been proven over time, will become affordable for the common folk.
