I bid into the offer yesterday, but my bid price was only $1.56 so I missed out.
Seeing the bid closed at $1.60, I bought at the open at $1.72 (but bought less shares than I was bidding for in the $650m capital raise), with the view that AMP will be really cashed up now. This will alleviate one of the sources of current market fear: AMP under capitalized. I will also fully subscribe under the retail offer.
For those with a 5yr+ time horizon, AMP at these prices is going to be a very very profitable investment.
