MFG has some of the clearest, and easiest to decipher investor information and reporting of any company on the ASX. There was literally no confusing jargon in the trust announcement whatsoever.
"The Magellan High Conviction Trust will invest in a concentrated portfolio of high quality global companies,weighted towards Magellan’s best ideas and will aim to deliver investors a Target Cash Distribution of 3% perannum"
This is in the second paragraph. LMFAO if you can't figure out whether its a global or ASX focused fund.
Hotcopper is a good resource in my opinion if you already know what you are doing, and are literate. Otherwise you should stick to leaving things to a fund manager with a strong track record including in down cycles like Magellan, or at worst simply leave things to a financial adviser.
