Fastidious, fussy, let's do it right the first time, over the top,

I'm guessing that your using the blue line pipe, check and double check that you push the ends right in flush, before tightening, I've found that hand tight doesn't work, Use a pair of stillsons and give it that little extra turn,
I've had rural pipe come apart on the farm twice in one week, I threw the joins in the bin and put brand new ones on and they have been spot on for the last few years,
I have some sand paper handy when doing water piping work,
Smooth of the ends and if the are too loose cut the end of and do it again,
Oh you poor bugger, looks like your making some money,
