    lord, re the GST.....if as you suggest, you can rent it out under the PRE principal residence exemption......so long as you do not allocate another residence as PR......
    in my case.....I can claim its my PR........but I must have held it for 5 years or be liable for the
    GST on sale.......agree no-one else is going to want to pay GST......so you would just have to wear the cost.......most legal people ask these questions on a formal document now anyway
    history, I claimed the GST when it was built.
    .......and there are claw back provisions generally for items costing over 50,000 that have adjustments if disposed of within a 5 year period.....
    assume thats the same idea regarding property.
