Not so sure about Rentails. They built D Dam to treat the old tailings but Rentails has now been delayed several years. There was a delicate schedule required to continue treating mine ore plus empty enough capacity from the existing tails dam (through Rentails) to use this space created to take all tailings once D Dam was filled. From my calculations, there is now not enough room left in D Dam to achieve this and it is likely another dam (or an extension) will be needed (more approvals and cash). I'm also not sure they have approvals for the tin fumer yet either. The project is feasible (full BFS done) but the timing has slipped which could impact capital and funding timing. Things happen slowly in Tasmania.
Am also hearing whispers that the Chinese JV partner(s) is(are) looking at options for their total Australian activities and this could involve discussions with MMG who own the Rosebery (Cu, Pb, Zn) mine next door to Renison. If true, this could be interesting.
    My thoughts only, DYOR
